USA Dance, Wilmington on September 8th

USA Dance in Wilmington holds their dances the second Saturday of the month just as our local chapter normally does. But this month our local chapter is holding their dance on September 22nd to coordinate with National Ballroom Dance week. This allows for a perfect opportunity for us to support our neighbors to the north. We are planning to have dinner at the Olympia Restaurant at 5 pm and then go to the USA Dance for the lesson at 6:30.
Please email if you plan to go so I can give them a headcount and make dinner reservations. Charlene
Our first dance at the Inlet Square Mall is this Sunday. Ralph Hunn, owner of Affordable Dancing will be teaching the Cha Cha lesson at 2 pm. We have a group dinner reservation at the Dead Dog Salon on Marshwalk after the dance at 5:30 There is still some availability but you must RSVP to Charlene if you'd like to be part of the dinner reservation. Email or call her at 703-795-0650

On Friday, September 21st, BDPS will also be sponsoring a free Tea Dance from 2 pm to 4 pm. The Senior Center is located at 10050 Beach Drive in Calabash.

The details are out about our first Annual Ball to be held at the Sea Trails Convention Center in Sunset Beach, NC on Sunday November 11th. Cocktail hour will begin at 5 pm, and there will be dinner and dancing to music by the Starduster Big Band from 6 to 9 pm.

You may have heard a rumor that the Sea Trails Convention Center is closing. Part of the rumor is true, yes, it is closing but it will not effect our Annual Ball because it won't be closing until January. The hotel is offering great discounted room rates for anyone that may want to stay overnight. Please go to our website to see all of the details and for your registration form.
