Zen Mello, owner of Zenimations, has recently been accepted into the 5th cohort of BEDC’s Summer Summer Student Entrepreneur Program, an eight-week program designed to develop young Bermudians into the Island’s next wave of entrepreneurs. Zenimations provides exciting animated videos for his customers for whatever they need. Whether a commercial, a music video, or a short gif, they can create anything for anyone. This Month at BEDC / The Highlights

Enterprise Bermuda Program Off to a Great Start

Enterprise Bermuda has officially begun. Over the next 12 months BEDC and Incubation Lead, Nikki Fagan, will guide the 5th cohort through the business development process, which ensures the entrepreneurs get beyond the idea stage and start to bring their businesses to fruition. On July 14th, BEDC celebrated the success of the 4th cohort and welcomed in the 5th cohort at a dinner reception held at the Fourways Inn. We are looking forward to helping all of the businesses thrive. 

Summer Students Launch Businesses at Meet & Greet

On Friday, July 22nd, the BEDC hosted a Meet & Greet on the City Hall Lawn for its Summer Student Entrepreneur Program. Students introduced their businesses to the community and gained valuable experience selling and promoting their goods and services. The Honorable Jason Hayward, JP, MP, joined the students on the lawn to impart words of encouragement and inspired our young people to learn and succeed through enterprise. 

Bermuda Business Review

In the 2022-23 edition of the Bermuda Business Review, Erica Smith, Executive Director of the BEDC, discusses the post-COVID opportunities small and medium sized enterprise can take advantage of. She states, “As leaders in Bermuda contemplate what life can be like post-COVID, the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) has identified the following areas of opportunities for entrepreneurs and business owners to seize“
