November Marks Homelessness Awareness Month—a time to recognize the very real challenges facing individuals, families, and young people in our community. At BEDS Plus, we see every day how a safe place to land and a supportive hand can turn crisis into stability.

Because of you, nearly 6,000 people in West and South Cook County received shelter, housing support, case management, and dignity this past year—a 26% increase from the year before. Your generosity made sure that neighbors experiencing housing insecurity had somewhere to go, someone to trust, and a path forward.

Our clients include families with young children, single adults, survivors of violence, young adults just starting out, older adults struggling to stay housed, and people living with disabilities or chronic health challenges. The majority are people of color disproportionately impacted by housing instability. Thanks to your support, every person who walked through our doors was met with compassion, care, and the resources they needed to begin stabilizing their lives.

As we enter the season of thanks and giving, we want to say thank you. Your support is not just appreciated—it is felt in every safe night's sleep, every successful housing placement, and every moment of lives rebuilt.

Together, we can continue to meet the growing need in our community and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to feel at home.

We invite you to join us in making an even greater impact this year.

Thank you to The La Grange Park Antique Mall for your sponsorship and costume resource.

Few films capture the heart of generosity, community, and the true spirit of giving like It’s a Wonderful Life. George Bailey’s story reminds us that one person’s actions—no matter how small they may seem—can transform the lives of others.

This movie is more than holiday entertainment. It is a mirror of the work we do and the values we hold dear.

Thank you to our sponsors and food and beverage providers.

GROCERY STORE GIFT CARDS NEEDED

Did you know that 95% of BEDS Plus clients are food insecure? As benefits ended November 1, many lost vital food benefits, making it even harder to put meals on the table.

The need will be greater than ever this year. You can help today by adding a $20 or more grocery gift card when you shop.

There’s a common myth that only those “out of work” need food assistance - the vast majority of our clients work and live on less than 30% of the average medium income. Every item and every dollar helps BEDS Plus clients feed their families and find stability through the winter months.
