AAMC Learn Serve Lead 2020: The Virtual Experience
November 16-18, 2020 | Virtual
The 2020 AAMC annual meeting will be different than previous years’ meetings. This reimagined agenda will deliver high-quality, inspiring content focused on the life-changing events of 2020. We’re thrilled that this shift to virtual will allow more people than ever to experience Learn Serve Lead’s highly rated programming, since a virtual meeting minimizes typical attendance barriers such as time and hotel and travel expenses. In addition to having access to session recordings after the event, additional content will be rolled out in the months following the conference. These additions will be available only to Learn Serve Lead 2020 registrants.

Mary Horrigan Connors Center for Women’s Health and Gender Biology: September 2020 Funding Opportunities 
The Mary Horrigan Connors Center for Women’s Health and Gender Biology, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, is pleased to announce three new funding opportunities. Research priorities of the Connors Center include expanding sex-specific and sex-differentiating knowledge about novel therapeutic interventions, conducting systems-based investigations, and establishing interdisciplinary collaborations for disease-based conditions that are exclusive, predominate, or differential in women. For additional information about Connors Center Funding Opportunities, please contact us at ConnorsCenter@bwh.harvard.edu.

AMWA Awards:
The American Medical Women's Association membership is comprised of physicians, residents, medical students, pre-medical students, health care professionals, and supporters. AMWA is the oldest multi-specialty organization dedicated to advancing women in medicine and improving women’s health.

  • Medical Education Scholarships-AMWA awards 4 (four) $500 scholarships to women currently enrolled in medical school. Awardees will be chosen based on the embodiment of the goals of AMWA.

  • Linda Brodsky MD Essay Award-The Linda Brodsky MD Essay Award, honors the women who have mentored, inspired, and encouraged young students to become physicians.

  • The Haffizulla Family Scholarship Fund-This scholarship is meant to perpetuate the involvement of young leaders in disease prevention and national health and wellness. A maximum of two scholarship awardees.

Mass Medical Society: Information Technology Award
Each year the Massachusetts Medical Society’s Committee on Information Technology recognizes both a medical student and a member of the hospital house staff or training program for the creation of information technology solutions for medicine.
