This is BEMA Asheboro.
They come together to fill their hunger for deeper spiritual food. The group members bring their unique life experiences and backgrounds full of unanswered questions.
John, David, and their families were involved in a church that exploded beyond the usual growth patterns of churches. As the church grew, they were rocked and brought to their knees through a catastrophic event. Their rose-colored glasses fell away as they were now questioning and chewing their faith up in the midst of a spiritual valley. God brought them to a low they had not known before.
In the weeks leading up to the scarring event, John was introduced to BEMA in the midst of research and learning. John recruited David to be a podrishioner, as well, and within six weeks David was caught up through every episode available at the time. BEMA became a tool for John and David to explore unfamiliar territory in their faith and find new aspects of God.
As they were reeling from church pains and seeking wisdom and guidance, the idea of a BEMA discussion group started looking more and more appealing. In June 2019, John and his wife decided to open their home to a new discussion group. The discussion group evolved into a shared meal and a community of believers walking through life together.
They share their passions, what they know, and what they don’t know as they invite people to join their group and receive newcomers from the BEMA map.
They are excited to see God bring unity as they wait on the Lord with patience to bring new friends, new questions, and new answers to their group each week.
