FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear BEPC members,
It is hard to believe we are already heading into March! While it may not quite feel like spring outside just yet, the promise of a new season is just around the corner. At BEPC, we have had an incredibly productive start to the year, and I continue to be energized by the progress we are making and the unwavering dedication of our volunteers and membership.
Mid-Year Leadership Day Recap
On February 11th, we held our Mid-Year Leadership Day at the UMass Club. This was a fantastic opportunity to bring together our committee leaders, board directors, officers, and management team to take the pulse of the Council and discuss our future. Our discussions were highly collaborative, focusing on our draft strategic plan, strategies for volunteer management, and ways to enhance cross-committee collaboration.
Administrative Updates
Administratively, we are “full steam ahead” on several critical initiatives for the upcoming fiscal year:
-
Nominations: Our Board and Officer Nominations Committees are working with President-Elect Katie Sheehan on the slate of board directors and officers.
-
Budget Planning: Our Budget and Finance Committee is working with Treasurer Barbara Targum to ensure we continue to be well-positioned fiscally.
