Summer is officially in full swing at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater La Crosse, and our members have already made the most of every opportunity June had to offer. From exciting field trips and hands-on learning experiences to outdoor adventures and our annual Summer Showdown, our Clubs have been filled with energy!

June also marked an incredible milestone as we officially opened the Judy Corbett Hutchens Workforce Center. This new space represents an investment in the future of our youth, providing opportunities for career exploration, workforce readiness, and life skills that will empower young people for years to come.

As we continue celebrating 60 years of serving youth in our community, we're reminded that every milestone is made possible by the support of our members, families, staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners. Thank you for being part of our mission and helping us create great futures. We hope you enjoy this month's newsletter and all the moments that made June so special.

JUDY CORBETT HUTCHENS WORKFORCE CENTER GRAND OPENING

We officially celebrated the grand opening of the Judy Corbett Hutchens Workforce Center! Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special milestone, and to all of our supporters and partners who made this possible.

We can't wait to see the opportunities, experiences, and bright futures that begin within these walls.

WORKFORCE CENTER PROGRAMMING PARTNERS

This month we announced our lead programming partners: Trust Point, Inland, and Brennan. Thank you for helping provide hands-on learning experiences and opportunities within the Judy Corbett Hutchens Workforce Center.

We're excited for all that's ahead!

BREWERS DAY

Thanks to the support of Explore La Crosse and some community members, Club members enjoyed an unforgettable day cheering on the Milwaukee Brewers! From the pregame tailgate experience to watching the action at American Family Field, the trip created lasting memories and gave many youth the chance to experience a Major League Baseball game!

SUMMER SHOW DOWN

At the end of June, we held our annual Summer Showdown in West Salem. All Club locations come together to play an assortment of games while making new friends from other Clubs. We end the day with a competition amongst each Club including tug-of-war, relay races, and a group chant! Members look forward to this event each year and to compete to take home the BGC Spirit Stick!

We are thankful to have our local law enforcement and fire departments volunteer their time to help judge the competition. This years Spirit Stick winner went to our Southside Amie L. Mathy Club!

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

It's important to us to give back to our community, since they give so much to us. Members helped get Riverside Park ready for Riverfest, walked in the June Dairy Days parade, and supported the Holmen girl's soccer team with a send off before heading to state!

RIVERFEST KIDS DAY

Our Club members enjoyed an afternoon filled with yard games, bounce houses, and a talent show!

A special thank you to the Docken & Sullivan family and Cal's Fund for their support of Cal's Fun Crew and for sharing this special day with our Club members.

Thank you to the Riverfest Commodores & First Mates, the Riverfest Board of Directors, our staff, and members of the La Crosse Police Department and La Crosse County Sheriff's Departments who generously volunteered their time to make the day such a success.
