The Board of Directors of Boys & Girls Clubs of South San Luis Obispo County (BGC South SLO) has named Rebecca Britton as the Organization’s Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer. Before her appointment, Britton served as Chief Operations Officer of the Organization since 2015.
 
“We are thrilled to appoint Ms. Britton to this leadership position. She is committed to the growth of this organization which will provide more families an opportunity for low-to-no-cost, out-of-school care in a safe and fun environment,” stated Bryan Millard, Board Chair. “Ms. Britton’s operations background, positive influence, and dedication to our mission will create growth opportunities that will enable this organization to serve youth and families in our South County Community who need us most,” concluded Millard.
 
As Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Britton will oversee the organization’s seven sites serving more than 900 youth and families in South San Luis Obispo County. She is responsible for leading the organization’s strategic direction, business operations, program development, brand reputation, talent acquisition, fundraising projects, and stakeholder engagement.
 
“I am honored and thrilled to take this leadership position,” stated Britton. “I look forward to leveraging my experience as we continue to create equity for the youth we serve. Boys & Girls Clubs of South San Luis Obispo County has an experienced team, and we remain dedicated to whatever it takes to provide a safe and fun environment for the youth we serve,” concluded Britton.
Club Beautification with Rotary & Optimist Clubs
Thank you to the hard working Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach and Pismo Rotary Clubs, Five Cities Optimist Club along with two Cal Poly students who came together on Saturday October 16th for their Community Day to spruce up our Oceano Clubhouse.
