Thank you to our longtime partner, Neiman Marcus Woodland Hills, who generously supported our Literacy Program this month.
The Woodland Hills store team, Kate Steinmiller, General Manager, Nina Rice, Belonging Ambassador, and Isabell Micallef, People Services, dedicated July as GIVE BACK MONTH -- a month long book drive with store associates. Store employees gave their time and resources securing a HUGE donation of books for our Library! We are truly grateful for their thoughtfulness.
Employees and special guest, Theo Howard, a UCLA football player, selected a book from the donation and read to our members. Additionally, members had the pleasure of Theo’s time while out on the play yard too! He shared with the kids the importance of following your dreams, staying in school, and working hard at what you want in life.
Neiman Marcus has committed to ongoing reading through our volunteer program, and we look forward to their next visit!
THANK YOU!
“It was thrilling to experience the smiles on the kids' faces and such a wonderful way to start the day." - Isabelle Micallef
If you would like to volunteer your time, contact Denise Zarate, Community Relations Manager: d.zarate@bgcwv.org or volunteer@bgcwv.org
