Physician & APP Annual Survey Participation to Date

The Annual Physician & APP survey has been open for one week and there is currently a 15% participation rate. Last year’s physician (non-resident) participation rate was 62%, which is significantly higher than the national average. The goal is to engage more voices of physicians, residents, fellows and APPs in 2024.

Marvin Teletherapy is positively impacting physicians’ lives and more at Baystate Health

Marvin Teletherapy for healthcare workers was introduced by the BMP Wellness Council before being adopted by Baystate Health system-wide for all employees in 2022. Marvin specifically responds to well-being needs expressed through the annual employee survey. 


Total registrations since launch include 1,310 employees of which 68% are clinical employees. To date, 74% of employees engaged in Marvin demonstrated an improvement in their depression rating (PHQ-9); 79% of employees demonstrated an improvement in their anxiety rating (GAD-7).

               

Here’s the impact from just three months spanning from January to March 2024, which includes data from individuals and couples who engaged with Marvin:

 

  • 147 registrations (Jan-March 2024)
  • Average of 3.88 days from registration to intake appointment
  • 97% reported high satisfaction
  • 94% had 2+ visits
  • Utilization

10% are Physicians/Faculty

6% are Residents/Fellows

4% are Advanced Practitioners

7% are Allied Health Professionals

10% are Admin Support

16% are Other

 

Marvin Teletherapy is confidential teletherapy with night and weekend appointments available. Visits are billed through your insurance (no-cost for BH-HNE plan members). Therapists are specialty-trained to work with healthcare workers. Visit Marvin here to schedule an appointment. The adoption of the Marvin Teletherapy program demonstrates a strong collaboration between physicians and the larger organization, which is providing positive results and high satisfaction for colleagues throughout Baystate Health.
