Employees asked for an app to ease their shuttle travel and it has arrived! Starting Tuesday, Jan. 16, Springfield-based employees will be able to track shuttle arrival times with the new ShuttleMe app. Team members will see estimated arrival times for shuttles that travel between Baystate Medical Center, Center (C) Lot, N Lot, and 280 Chestnut locations. Using the ShuttleMe app is easy as 1-2-3:

  1. Sign in with your Baystate Health network username and password.
  2. Choose your pickup and drop-off locations.
  3. See when your shuttle is estimated to arrive.
HERE'S HOW TO DOWNLOAD THE APP STARTING JAN. 16

Passing the Baton: Orchestrating Access in My Role

177e0e9e-300c-4fc9-bc3a-35606c9860d5 image

How do you positively impact Baystate Health’s strategy of Access to Health? Access to Health means meeting the needs of our consumers and patients according to their wants and/or needs – sustainably and equitably. Akin to the purpose of a conductor’s baton, all the moving parts allowing access to our care must be coordinated. Like a relay race, our baton must be smoothly passed from one to another to ensure seamless patient access. In this new regular column, you’ll meet Baystate Health team members who are making a positive impact on access to our care. You may be surprised at the variety of positions that are making a difference! First, meet Jessica Perry, Senior Application Analyst, I&T Medical Practices Services.

Help Keep Our Voicemail System Secure

A Message From the Informatics & Technology, Information Security and Telecommunications Departments

80cfe9b7-9349-44d3-a4d0-a40440cca20b image

Due to a recent security event in our voicemail network, the Telecommunications and Information Security teams took actions to block this behavior and prevent future activity. As a result, steps were taken to remove weak voicemail passcodes, such as 12345 or 0000, and actions were taken to expire your passcode. If you fell into one of these categories, you will need to change it to a stronger passcode. The new format of passcodes is to help us keep our voicemail system more secure.
