Advanced Practitioner Fellowship Program in Primary Care Receives Accreditation with Distinction | |
Baystate Health's Advanced Practitioner Fellowship program in Primary Care has been accredited with Distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs. This is trailblazing work, as fewer than 10 programs are accredited nationally and Baystate Health was the first to successfully receive Accreditation with Distinction in the state of Massachusetts. Baystate Health – Software Ownership & Procurement
A Message From Kevin Conway, Senior Vice President,
Chief Information & Digital Officer
| |
In response to, and in support of the Cost Savings Challenge that appeared in the August 24 NEWS Flash, Informatics & Technology (I&T) at Baystate Health is initiating the following change.
Baystate Health I&T is now overseeing all software contracts across the enterprise, partnering with departments, service lines, finance, supply chain and legal to align the procurement of all software. This new policy ensures we are not purchasing similar products and solutions, but rather consolidating contracts/solutions enabling best pricing and reducing the cost of ongoing support. We are reviewing current software contracts owned by the business, including software that is publicly available/free, and gradually moving all existing contracts under I&T ownership.

Important Notice: Prescription Drug Coverage and Medicare
No Action Required
| |
Employees and covered spouses who are age 64 or above and are considering a Medicare Part D plan for prescription drug coverage, can choose to keep their current medical coverage through Baystate - Health New England, while eligible for it and not pay a higher premium (a penalty) if they later decide to join a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan.
Medicare prescription drug coverage (Part D) became available in 2006 to everyone with Medicare. You can get this coverage if you join a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan or join a Medicare Advantage Plan (like an HMO or PPO) that offers prescription drug coverage. However, the Baystate Health-sponsored Health New England medical coverage available to employees is considered Creditable Coverage (at least equivalent to Medicare D coverage).
There is no action required on your part. To view the full Medicare Part D Notice visit the HUB>Quick Links>Benefits>Legal Plan Notices>Special Healthcare Notices>Annual Notices 2024. To view other important benefits-related documents, go to The HUB>Quick Links>Benefits.
For questions regarding the Medicare Part D Notice or your benefits,
please contact HRAnswers at 413-794-4747.
