Storm Updates

The Bald Head Island area is under a tropical storm warning. BHI Transportation has updated its announcement: "Due to changes in the storm's path overnight, associated changes in the weather forecast, and a suspension of the planned river closure, the passenger ferry will resume service Friday morning with the first run departing Deep Point Marina at 8:00am. All ticketed passengers will be allowed to board the passenger ferry. It remains possible for weather conditions to deteriorate and create hazardous conditions later this afternoon and evening, at which time ferry service may be suspended on short notice. Please plan accordingly and continue to monitor the app and website for service status updates."

Village Council Candidate Forum

Deadline for question submissions is Friday, September 22, 12:00pm

BHA will host a Village Council Candidate Forum on Monday, September 25, at 2:00pm in BHA’s Association Center (111 Lighthouse Wynd, Bald Head Island). The forum will be live via Zoom and recorded. The League of Women Voters (LWV) of Lower Cape Fear is managing and moderating the forum, as well as collecting and organizing the candidate questions submitted prior to the event. 

Email Your Questions — Email deadline is this Friday, September 22, at 12:00pm!

Questions for this forum from residents will be collected at an email address that the LWV has established. The email address for the Bald Head Island forum is baldheadislandforum@lwvlcf.org. No questions will be accepted that are directed to only one candidate. Instead, all questions will be sorted so that they are appropriate for all candidates. No candidates will receive the questions in advance.

BHA's Board of Directors invites property owners and others to view its monthly public meetings remotely via Zoom. Board meetings are typically held the second Friday of each month beginning at 11:00am EDT. Agendas, approved minutes of previous meetings and a link to the current monthly Zoom meeting can be found on the meeting information web page. Click on the link below to learn more.
