The Smith Island Social is a long-running annual tradition, held at the BHI Club the evening after BHA’s Annual Meeting, which is Saturday, January 29, 2022. The Smith Island Social begins at 6:00pm, and you can make reservations by calling the BHI Club at 910-457-7300 by January 15, 2022. Watch for additional event details soon. Bald Head Island Transportation has implemented new US Coast Guard COVID operating guidelines and restrictions that require all passengers (except children under the age of 2) wear a mask:

1.      While waiting to board the ferry inside the terminal gate area

2.      While boarding the ferry

3.      While inside the ferry cabin

4.      While disembarking the ferry

5.      While riding in trams

Starting in January 2022, barring an increase in COVID numbers, monthly Community Dinners are coming back! Click HERE for the event poster. The newly revamped Community Dinners (formerly named Community Potluck Dinners, when everyone brought a dish to share) will start back on January 10, 2022, at 5:30pm in the Generator Society Hall of the Association Center (111 Lighthouse Wynd). One new twist to help ensure safety during COVID, everyone must bring their own food and drink, rather than bringing a dish to share.

Community Dinners will be held the second Tuesday of the month, from January through April and then September through December. The time advances to 6:00pm for March and April.
