Hurricane Idalia Has Passed

~ After the Storm ~

BHA's office will reopen on Friday, September 1. The intention is to operate regular office hours of 9:00am-4:00pm. Any updates will be posted on BHA's homepage under the "Hurricane Idalia Update" section.

For questions about trees after a storm ("hangers" and "leaners"), read about BHA's guidelines and processes HERE. BHA's contracted landscapers will be on Bald Head Island Friday morning to do initial assessments. Remember, don't cut anything unless it's an "immediate danger" risk to humans or property.

Please Note: In the past following a storm event, there have been predatory vendors looking for storm damage as an entry to soliciting work for property owners. For a list of service providers who have done work on BHI, visit BHA's Service Provider list HERE. Talk to your neighbors about contractors they've used and had good results with, ask for references and check them out, get everything in writing (most importantly, get a written contract), don't pay cash up front and do your due diligence to help protect yourself.

BHA Office Closed in Observance of Labor Day

on Monday, September 4

BHA's office will be closed in observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 4.

The office will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, September 5. Regular hours are Monday-Friday from 9:00am-4:00pm.

support on BHI? 

The Village Chapel is here to help — for those who might need help with meals,

in-person visits or other types of support, due to an injury, family emergency or for any other reason, please reach out to Christine Osborne, who heads up the Meals Committee for the Village Chapel under our Outreach Team. If more than meals are needed, Christine can coordinate with other Village Chapel committees to see what support they might be able to offer. BHA's Board of Directors invites property owners and others to view its monthly public meetings remotely via Zoom. Board meetings are typically held the second Friday of each month beginning at 11:00am EDT. The next BHA Board meeting public session is scheduled for Friday, September 8, 2023, at 11:00am at BHA's Association Center (111 Lighthouse Wynd).
