Bald Head Association Operational Update
Last week, BHA's Executive Director Carrie Moffett took a temporary leave of absence due to health reasons.
We all wish Carrie well and hope she has a speedy recovery. Anyone wishing to send communications and well-wishes to Carrie can send them to the BHA office, for collection and forwarding. Feel free to drop off any communications at the office (111 Lighthouse Wynd)

Village of BHI to File a Petition with the
North Carolina Utilities Commission (NCUC) Regarding Parking Lots and Barge
On January 26, the Village of BHI notified the CEO of BHI Transportation, Chad Paul, of its intent to file a petition with the NCUC "requesting that it assert regulatory jurisdiction over the parking lots and barge used in connection with the Bald Head Island Transportation System." The letter is on BHA's "News" web page HERE.
Wind Energy
On January 3 and January 7, the Village sent letters to the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) regarding BOEM's efforts to identify and lease wind energy areas offshore North Carolina and potential wind energy turbines visible from Bald Head Island's shoreline. These letters and any future updates are posted on BHA's "News"
web page HERE.

Monthly BHA Board Meetings
BHA's Board of Directors invites property owners and others to view its monthly public meetings remotely via Zoom. Board meetings are typically held the second Friday of each month beginning at 11:00am EDT. Agendas, approved minutes of previous meetings and a link to the current monthly Zoom meeting can be found on the meeting information web page. Click on the link below to learn more.

The BHA Board's next meeting will be its annual retreat on February 22, 2022.
