As the deadline for proxy votes approaches, BHA has been receiving numerous calls with questions from members who own multiple properties. Perhaps there are other property owners asking similar questions.
Each year, there are two vacancies for the BHA Board of Directors. Members are entitled to one vote per lot or home. For the vacancies, members may cast one vote for two individual candidates or they may cast their votes cumulatively for just one candidate. Owners of multiple properties can vote a combination of candidates.
BHA did not have any issues with its online voting system last year and is utilizing the same voting software company. But this year, other non-BHA communications have created confusion about splitting votes among the candidates, causing difficulties for owners of multiple properties while casting their votes online. While attempting to resolve this issue, BHA has learned that its voting software only allows for voting in increments of two because there are two Board vacancies. To allow our members to vote as they wish and to protect the integrity of the election, BHA has a solution for members.
If you wish to split your votes into odd numbers, you can do so by emailing a
Voting on the Day of the Annual Meeting
Prior to the Annual Meeting, votes are cast by proxy, obligating the Secretary to ensure the votes are cast as directed. On the day of the Annual Meeting, votes are cast by ballot.
Property owners who wish to vote by paper ballot on the day of the Annual Meeting (Saturday, January 29, 2022) can do so by requesting and submitting a completed paper ballot between 9:00-9:30am (email Diane Mesaris at diane@baldheadassociation.com). For online voting by ballot, the voting system will be open from 9:00-9:30am; you must use your unique voter registration ID number. Call the office in advance if you need help with your voter registration ID number.
Ballots cannot be requested prior to the day of the Annual Meeting. Please note that this is a short window of time and all final ballots must be received by 9:30am to be counted.

BHA's online voting for the 2022 Annual Meeting is open through Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 4:00pm. Your unique voter registration ID number is on
the back cover of your 2021 Annual Report that was mailed in late December.

diane@baldheadassociation.com. She will send you a paper proxy to fill out and return via email or fax, and remember the deadline to receive it is Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 4:00pm.
