Welcome New Committee Members

At the BHA Board Retreat, a new slate of committee members and chairs were appointed to serve the membership. Committees play a vital role by supporting the Board and contributing to BHA’s operational success. The volunteers, who serve a three-year term, are community leaders contributing their time, talent, and skills to sustain the values and attributes that make Bald Head Island unique.

The 2025 committee rosters are on the website, and you can read more about each committee as well as each committee’s Bylaws charges and goals here!

The committees:

•            Architectural Review Committee (ARC) Sections A and B

•            Education and Recreation (ER) Committee

•            Resource Conservation and Beautification (RCB) Committee

•            Long Range Planning (LRP) Committee

•            Finance Committee

•            Nominating Committee

One change to the Board’s roster of committees for 2025, is the inclusion of the Community Wide Standards Committee into the responsibilities of BHA staff. The work of this committee, helping to ensure homes are compliant with standards, covenants, and guidelines, has been extremely beneficial to the upkeep of the island. We thank each of our CWS Committee volunteers for all their hard work and dedication.

The BHA Board offers a hearty welcome to all new volunteers and a heartfelt thanks to all who served in the past!

BHA Board Meeting - 3/28/25 @ 8:30am

Did you know BHA Board Meetings have a public session that is open to all members? They are an excellent way to learn firsthand what's going on within your HOA. This forum allows members to ask questions and voice comments.

Meetings are held both in person and via Zoom - the link is on our website and below. Once in the meeting, online participants can enter questions or comments or ask to speak through the Chat feature. Written statements will be read at the meeting. If there are questions of a similar nature, they will be combined. The public forum will be recorded and posted on the website. The next meeting is 3/28/24 at 8:30am in BHA's Association Center (111 Lighthouse Wynd) or join meeting with the Zoom link. Please note the new time. The agenda will be posted on the website when available.

To help you keep in touch with Board members, BHA email address have been set up for each:

ARC Schedules

Starting in April, ARC will be back to holding meeting every month for sections A and B. For those who don't know, ARC-A reviews architectural submittals for West of Muscadine Wynd except for submissions regarding projects in the following BHA PUD and multi-family communities: Lighthouse Landing, Ibis Roost, Royal James Landing, Sabal Palm Cottages, The Hammocks, The Villas and Timbercreek. ARC-B reviews those BHA PUD and multi-family communities as well as Cape Fear Station, Flora’s Bluff/Killegray Ridge, Keeper’s Landing, and homes east of Muscadine Wynd.
