It was a plan 20 years in the making, and on Saturday, October 27, a dream was realized for the Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor, the City of Worcester and the local Quinsigamond Village neighborhood, and a group of partners including Congressman Jim McGovern, Massachusetts Department of Transportation, Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, National Park Service, College of the Holy Cross and the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration.
Despite a Nor' Easter, hundreds came for the official ribbon cutting and community organizations filled the Center's event space to celebrate the new Gateway to the City of Worcester, the Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor and the new National Historical Park! Click
