BHGH Annual Family Potluck

For BHGH, families are a central part of how we help our scholars reach their full potential.

As families join the BHGH program, we commit to partner with them in their child’s academic, social and professional success journey. This is why we promote family engagement as a key initiative in our programs. 

One of the many ways we strive to do this is by celebrating the beauty of each family's heritage, and since October is Hispanic Heritage month, we have partnered with our Parent Committee to plan and celebrate our annual Family Potluck. This year the event will take place on Sunday, October 30th. We invite scholars, collegians and their families to a day of family games, snacks, and traditional dishes from their respective countries and the opportunity to come together as families and get to know each other.

Host a toy drive or donate toys for BHGH Christmas Mart!

Christmas Mart is a fantastic event where BHGH scholars have the opportunity to shop for a toy or gift for their siblings, parents and one for themselves! Volunteers wrap the gifts so they are ready for Christmas morning. 

You can help by collecting new, unwrapped toys and gifts for all ages!

Gifts need to be unwrapped and scheduled for a pickup or drop off by November 30th to BHGH, 3443 N Central Ave, Arcade 7, Phoenix, AZ 85012. Atlas Hopkins, ASU senior and S.E.E.D. Philanthropy Founder, held a hygiene supply drive for BHGH residential scholars. Atlas's cousin is a scholar, and he wanted to support the organization.
