Baggage Policies Reminder

BHI Transportation, Inc. (BHIT) sent an email today regarding baggage policies. Click on the baggage notice image at left to read the passenger ferry baggage regulations. Here is BHIT's statement:

"As we head into the busier season, Bald Head Island Transportation, Inc. would like to remind island property owners and their guests about baggage policies that are in place for the safety and comfort of all ferry passengers. Please note, the policies listed [at left] went into effect in April 2022 in conjunction with a North Carolina Utilities Commission Order and have been 'softly' enforced as we worked to educate the traveling public. As we move into an era of stricter enforcement, adherence to the baggage guidelines will be integral to achieving our goal of more consistent on-time service, especially during the busy season.

We appreciate your cooperation and thank you in advance for your support of our hardworking Transportation staff as we go forward. If you haven't already, we recommend you view a brief video that offers tips for making your trip to Bald Head Island easier, including more detailed information regarding baggage service."
