Mandatory Evacuation Update

A message from the Village of BHI this morning:

" IMPORTANT
 
State of Emergency proclamation for evacuations by date & departure time from BHI Marina and other restrictions presently in effect:
 
Tuesday, September 11th Mandatory Evacuation for ALL "Non-Residents" NLT 10:30 a.m. ferry (* includes daily tourists and vacation renters).
 
Note:  Contractors, after having secured all necessary items at the construction site and/or Contractor Services must evacuate today once completed.
 
Wednesday, September 12th  Mandatory Evacuation for ALL "Island Residents" NLT 9:30 a.m. ferry (*includes ALL employees of island businesses & Village personnel)
 
Wednesday, September 12th  Water Production & Wastewater Collection - SHUT OFF AT 9:00 a.m.
 
Public Safety Officers will be canvassing the island throughout the day to ensure compliance with the current State of Emergency and Mandatory Evacuations of ALL "non-residents" as referenced above.
