Youth Recovery Resources
for Primary Care Providers
In honor of National Recovery Month the BHIPP team has gone purple! We have gathered information and resources relevant to supporting youth in recovery and those with substance use concerns. During the COVID-19 pandemic, rates of substance use, overdose, and mental health concerns have increased (NIDA). Youth may be at risk for increased substance use as their lives are disrupted and many experience symptoms of anxiety and depression. Pediatric healthcare providers can support youth in recovery and those currently struggling with substance use through screening, brief intervention and referral to treatment (SBIRT). See the resources below for additional guidance in supporting these youth.
