The Bald Head Island Transportation Authority (BHITA) will be holding a special meeting of its Board of Trustees and a public hearing on Wednesday, February 17th from 9:30am - 11:30am. There will be a presentation on the acquisition of the BHI Ferry System and issuance of bonds followed by a public comment period.

The remote-only meeting will be held with simultaneous communication using Zoom. The meeting's Zoom link and the access phone number are included in the public meeting notice found below.

BHA provides numerous opportunities for property owners to get involved in one or more of its volunteer committees. Some committees request a small time commitment; others a larger one. Both part-time and full-time residents are encouraged to volunteer since they can easily participate via Zoom or GoToMeeting.

Property owners can also participate by volunteering to serve on BHA's Board of Directors. More details are provided in BHA's bylaws and there will be additional information in an upcoming Island Report about the process for election to the Board as part of the 2022 Annual Meeting.
