School immunization rules changing on Aug. 1
|
Starting Aug. 1, Washington state school immunization rules are changing.
For families and students, this change means:
- Student vaccine records given to schools must be medically verified.
- All students in 7th through 12th grades are required to get a Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis) vaccine. Before this change, Tdap was required for incoming 6th-grade students.
This fall, the Seattle Public Schools Health Services team will contact families of students who have records that have not yet met these requirements.

Calling all Performing Arts home bakers!
|
It's time to put all that baking you've been doing to a good cause. This year, the BHS Foundation Golf Classic Dessert Dash -- traditionally held at the dinner the night before the golf event -- will become a Dessert Delivery.
All funds raised from the Dessert Delivery will support the BHS Performing Arts Programs, which include Band, Orchestra, Choir and Theatre.
If you'd like to contribute:
2. Send a photo and description (including all ingredients/potential allergens) of the dessert you plan to make to Shelley Rousseau at
bpabfundraising@gmail.com
by July 30. BPA themed-desserts welcome!
3. Or just bid on a dessert in August.
