The BHS PTSA Volunteer team is planning a fun week to show our gratitude for all the energy, enthusiasm and dedication of BHS Educators! We still need your donations check out the Donation Sign Up and please take a minute to sign the Kudo Board too!

BHS Parents, Staff, Students! Do you know someone who makes an impact at Ballard HS? Anyone from the community may submit a nomination for each person whom they feel exemplifies the characteristics for an award. A committee of the Principal, PTSA President and one past Golden Acorn winner review all submissions. Send nominations to Kim Flin; BHS PTSA President by May 9. Include a few details about why you've chosen that educator, and/or volunteer.


  • Golden Acorn: Above & Beyond PTSA volunteer service.
  • Outstanding Educator Award: Provides beneficial educational learning environment.
  • Outstanding Advocate: Has had continued and dedicated service to the BHS community.

BHS BASH was a blast! Thank you to everyone who supported the PTSA and our wonderful community! We had so much fun!


💰 Preliminary fundraising results: BASH is currently at $ 21,840, of our goal of $40K! 


You can still donate to support academic needs including our PTSA grant fund for BHS teachers as well as upgrades to the Science classrooms.

  • Friday, May 9: School community sale is 3:45 to 5:30 p.m.
  • Sat, May 10: Public sale is 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.


Heirloom tomatoes, unique vegetable varieties, houseplants, student made hand balm and lip balm, succulent terrariums, plant based jewelry, and many other items. All vegetable starts are organic, and all purchases go towards supporting the Ballad Greenhouse Program. Greenhouse Program Info!

We're going all out with Star Wars-themed books, Mad Libs, crossword puzzles and more—costumes are encouraged! The BHS Counseling Center is hosting a clothing drive for Prom attire. Please bring your clean, gently used semi-formal attire to the Counseling Center (we need hangers too)! All students are welcome to come shop the rack before school, after school, or at lunch. See Ms. Bristol if you have any questions.

Spring Athletics 

KELLEN “BOBO” JONES ‘08 MEMORIAL GRANT: Each year, $500 grants are awarded to two Senior Student Athletes. Students must have participated in their sport(s) during their senior year unless there have been extenuating circumstances. The applicants will exhibit the characteristics that made Kellen Jones a successful athlete, teammate and Ballard Beaver. Grant may be used for any Post HS vocational, college, or license program.
