Thanks to Ballard families for Curriculum Night grub!

Many thanks to all who contributed to help provide lunch for 120 Ballard educators on the day of Curriculum Night.

Special thanks to BHS-family-owned Plaza Garibaldi Mexican Restaurant & Bar for donating the dessert bar and giving a generous discount for the lunchtime feast. This food helped teachers and staff get through a very long day!

Are you feeling even more appreciative of our educators after meeting them on Curriculum Night? There's still time to drop some love into this Kudoboard.

ICYMI: First PTA general meeting recap!

At our first PTSA General Meeting on Thursday, Oct. 17, we welcomed Greg Smith of Northwest Educational Services. Greg shared his insights on how to best raise our kids in this digital age. First he mentioned biology, reminding us that our children’s brains are still developing and how that affects their decision-making. As new technology will continue to be a part of our everyday lives, the best solutions are to model good behavior, to communicate with our kids and be vulnerable about how we’re feeling, and to educate ourselves about resources to help manage technology. Thank you to Greg for an insightful and engaging talk!
