Test time: SAT and PSAT at Ballard Oct. 14–17

Who doesn’t love taking tests??


The PSAT/NMSQT will be administered to 11th-grade students on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 14–15, at school. All currently-enrolled juniors are automatically registered; families do not need to sign up. An SPS-issued laptop is required to take the test.


The SAT will be administered to 12th-grade students on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 16–17, at school. All currently-enrolled seniors are automatically registered; families do not need to sign up.An SPS-issued laptop is required to take the test.

Pre-order your copy of “The Shingle” by Sept. 30, 2024, to secure the lowest price of the year. Pre-sale windows and prices are as follows:

  • Through Sept. 30: $60
  • Jan. 6–27, 2025: $65
  • March 30–April 28, 2025: $70

Pay for your 2025 yearbook in the Main Office at lunch or after school with cash, check or credit/debit card, or pay online though a parent or guardian School Pay account accessed via The Source.

College visits start this week!

Attention seniors and interested juniors! Ballard hosts admissions officers from a variety of colleges and universities from across the U.S. and Canada — and the first visits start this week! These visits are a great way to learn about a school that prospective students and families may not be able to visit in person.

Senior corner: news for the Class of 2025

Ballard High School graduation date is June 13, 2025 at Memorial Stadium.


Stay tuned for senior portrait due date and submission information.


The counselors will have drop-in time to help seniors with college applications in the counseling center on the following Wednesdays after school: from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. on October 2, November 6, December 4, January 8. More information
