Dear Colleague,

Last Thursday, Behavioral Health System Baltimore (BHSB) hosted our annual legislative briefing to discuss the potential impact of shifting policy priorities and national politics on Maryland’s public behavioral health care system.

This year’s speakers were Jonah Cunningham, president and CEO, National Association of County Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Directors, Hannah Wesolowski, chief advocacy officer, National Alliance on Mental Illness, and Dan Rabbitt, policy director, Behavioral Health System Baltimore.

In the webinar, we discussed existing barriers to accessing behavioral health care, looming fiscal fights in the 119th Congress and 447th Maryland General Assembly and potential changes to Medicaid and administrative rules.
