Request For Proposal (RFP) 6015, Innovation Sponsorship Up to $50K
This RFP supports organizations advancing clean energy innovation in New York State by providing sponsorships of up to $50,000 annually. Sponsorships will be awarded thorough a competitive process to non-profit and for-profit entities, academic and research institutions, community-based organizations, Indigenous nations, and others with a track record of delivering innovation-focused programming.
Responses to this RFP are due by July 17, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. ET, and must be submitted through NYSERDA’s online portal.. For additional details and to respond to this RFP, please visit the solicitation page.

Launch NY Closes Seed Fund II

Backed by 85 limited partners—including individuals, banks, family offices, foundations, and institutions like MetLife Foundation and NY Ventures—this milestone strengthens our ability to support innovative Upstate NY startups. | |
Another Launch NY Portfolio Company Acquired
Verivend, a Buffalo-based fintech startup and Launch NY portfolio company, has been acquired by iAltA, part of investment firm WestCap. Verivend will join forces with Betterfront to form a new platform for private market investors to raise, deploy, and track capital. Launch NY has been a longtime supporter of Verivend, investing a total of $275,000 through our nonprofit Seed Fund, LP Fund I, and Investor Network. Since being backed by Launch NY in 2020, Verivend has achieved major milestones, including $2B+ in transaction volume and a 100% customer renewal rate.
This marks the third successful acquisition of a Launch NY portfolio company since 2023
