Space to Think

We were honoured to be among so many others who share our passion for supporting the armed forces community during a trip to York this month.

Two of our team, Anthony McDermott and Nadine Page, represented the BIC at a glittering event organised to celebrate Gold winners of the Armed Forces Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS).

The scheme encourages employers to support veterans and inspire others to do the same. The BIC was awarded for our efforts to support veterans into entrepreneurship. Find out how your business can get involved below.

Does your business share our commitment to supporting veterans? Show your support by signing up to the Armed Forces Covenant and you too will have the chance to be recognised by the ERS scheme. All organisations - public, private or voluntary, and small, medium or large - are welcome to sign up and the ERS scheme acknowledges employers that provide exceptional support by going above and beyond their Covenant pledges.

Our partners over at Smarta offer a wide range of business support and skills programmes, free of charge to small and medium businesses across the North East. This includes eLearning programmes, video courses delivered 24/7, coaching and consulting and workshops, bootcamps and accelerators.
