A Season of Celebrations

This Fall has been a whirlwind of celebrations at the Bertarelli Institute for Family Entrepreneurship!

We kicked off the Fall semester with our Welcome Back and Open House event on September 15th, where students met our team and learned about our offerings. Two weeks later, we hosted the Networking by Industry event during the Back to Babson weekend. Over 450 students, alumni, and parents registered to meet with experts and professionals in the industries of their interest.

In between these two events, I had the pleasure to present this year's Babson-Camus Global Family Entrepreneurship Award to Gustavo Cisneros '68 and his family at an exclusive event in Miami, where we were joined by President Stephen Spinelli MBA'92, BIFE Advisory Board member and sponsor of the award, Cyril Camus '91, and others in the Babson community.

Last week, Babson students, faculty, and staff came together to welcome Ernesto Bertarelli '89 back to campus at the Bertarelli Institute for Family Entrepreneurship Dedication Ceremony, during which Ernesto talked about his vision for the Institute.

As the Fall semester is winding down, we're looking forward to another busy semester with lots of exciting programs and events. Stay tuned to hear more!

Family Entrepreneurship

For Ernesto Bertarelli ’89, family entrepreneurship is less about the business itself and more about the family and its dynamics.

His vision and his experience—as a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist who currently runs B-FLEXION and, with his sister and mother, the Bertarelli Foundation—have inspired and driven Babson College to advance the field of family entrepreneurship.

Honored with Babson-Camus Award

Venezuelan businessman Gustavo Cisneros ’68 and his family received the Babson-Camus Global Family Entrepreneurship Award this week at a Miami event that was as much about celebrating Cisneros’ commitment to the future as it was about the family’s successful history.

The award was presented last Monday in Miami in partnership with CAMUS Cognac, operated by our Advisory Board member and fifth-generation owner Cyril Camus '91.⁠

The Babson Global Family Entrepreneurship Network is here!

On October 19th, we announced the official launch of the Babson Global Family Entrepreneurship Network. Students and alumni who have enrolled in our programs shared their experiences with members of Babson's Global Advisory Board. William Gartner, Bertarelli Foundation Distinguished Professor of Family Entrepreneurship, led a presentation of the latest research on family entrepreneurship by Babson faculty. Attendees also got a taste of what participating in our programs is like by discussing questions from the Family Entrepreneurship Amplifier Conversation Starter cards designed by the Institute.

Family Entrepreneurial Leadership Certificate Program
