In honor of Black History Month, Big Brothers Big Sisters Southern Arizona recognizes the importance of mentoring in the Black community, because investing in our youth is investing in our future.

As we reflect on the past and look to the future, it is important to remember the importance of mentorship with evidence based statistics. 90% of littles see their mentor (their big) as a very important adult in their life. 93% of littles are saying NO to drugs, violence and skipping school.

Did you know that Black students are less likely to have access to mentoring opportunities? Let's change that!. If you’re interested in becoming a mentor, Join BBBSSOAZ in supporting and inspiring the next generation!

Thank you to America First Credit Union for hosting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Arizona Bigs, Littles and volunteers at the UA Women’s Basketball game on Sunday Jan 29th.



All those that attended had a blast and one lucky Little Brother even got some court time.

Your support provided an amazing experience for our Matches; strengthening their one-to-one connection to each other which ripples positive impact into the community.
