Mentoring Activity Center Update!

There’s so much exciting progress happening in our new Mentoring Activity Center! Cabinets are going in, appliances arrived this week, and the space is really starting to come to life. We can’t wait to see how our Bigs and Littles make this space their own—whether they’re cooking together, gaming, gardening, or just hanging out and building their bond.

And while this space is almost ready… we still need more Bigs to fill it! Right now, many Littles are still waiting to be matched with a mentor. If you’ve ever considered becoming a Big, now’s the perfect time. Imagine the memories you could make here—and the difference you could make in a child’s life.

Paint The Town Green!

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Arizona is thrilled to announce our first-ever Paint the Town Green campaign—happening September 14–20, 2025!

This is not a fundraiser—it’s a weeklong awareness campaign designed to celebrate the power of mentorship and highlight the life-changing impact Bigs have on the lives of local youth.

We’re inviting businesses, organizations, and community members to join us by using green in your space in any creative way—think window displays, staff outfits, green lights, or themed promotions. The goal? Help spark conversations, inspire more people to become mentors, and show that mentoring matters.

Reforma is generously hosting us on their shaded outdoor patio for this ongoing brunch series, which runs through November 8th. Attendees will enjoy one complimentary beverage, and Reforma will be donating a portion of proceeds from all food and non-alcoholic drink purchases to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Arizona.

This event is open to past riders, current participants, and anyone curious about joining Team Defenders or learning more about one-to-one mentoring. It’s the perfect way to connect, get inspired, and enjoy some great food and company.

Thank you Bings Boba Tea! On July 19th we had an amazing time connecting with matches at Bings Boba Tea! A total of 6 matches joined us for a fun-filled afternoon of sipping delicious drinks, playing board games and enjoying quality time together. One of the most special things about Bings Boba Tea is that the owner was a former Big Brother who still keeps in touch with his little today! Hosting this event was very meaningful to him as BBBS has played such a big role in his life!
