Dear Tabor Village Family and Friends:

As you are aware, the BC Government announced yesterday that changes are coming to visitation in long-term care and assisted living. As per their announcement, Tabor Village is pleased to say that we will be opening visitation to any and all family and friends wanting to visit their loved one. This is long-awaited good news for everyone and we know how excited you all are.

However, it is a requirement that all visits still be booked ahead of time. Due to the extraordinary volume of requests we are already receiving and that is to come, as well as some further logistics that need to be worked out, please note:

we will not be implementing this change until next Thursday, April 1.

We appreciate your patience and understanding in allowing us the time to make the necessary adjustments and get organized in order to accommodate this new and exciting change. That said, we ask that you please refrain from emailing or calling our Visitation Supervisor at this time if you are a new visitor as we will not be booking any more visits until Thursday, April 1st. Existing booked visits still stand.

We are holding a virtual family council meeting via ZOOM video conferencing on Monday, March 29th for Valhaven and Tabor Home families and Wednesday, March 31st for Tabor Court families. At our 2021 Tabor Village Coffee + Prayer virtual gathering we prayed for families and friends of those who have died in recent months; for staff in their coping with loss; for health care workers across Canada; for our community of Abbotsford; for our province, and country; and for worldwide relief from this pandemic.

These prayers for healing and recovery from this pandemic pilgrimage were concluded with this hope-filled prayer based on Romans 12:12

^“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”

Lord, may we be filled with JOY that comes from You, and the hope we have in You for today, tomorrow, and eternity. May we be PATIENT in anticipating Your timing of release from this 21^st century plague, when you will say to the COVID ANGEL OF DEATH “Enough!” And dear God, keep us FAITHFUL in prayer, in relationships, and in following You, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
