SATURDAY MARKET WILL OPEN EARLY!!!
TUESDAY MARKET WILL BE DELAYED IN OPENING
Farmers' Markets are considered "essential needs" providers, and have been allowed to stay open during this crisis. We'd assumed we would start in May as planned, but the city invited us to open earlier, to serve the needs of the community.
We'll open two week early:
Saturday,
April 18th
in our usual location: the West Plaza Parking Lot.
This will give relief to vendors who are trying to eek out a livelihood right now, and local customers, who've been anxious to have their market re-open.
Because Tuesday market is on the plaza we're going to postpone the opening of that until the end of May (?)
, which we hope will align with the music series, assuming it is going forward. This is the plan currently, but it may change if the park continues to be closed.
There are many restrictions on us in order to be open during this time. Here is how the market will be for however long they deem it necessary:
Booths 10' apart
No Entertainment
No Seating
No Craft: "Essential Needs Only"
Hot Food to Go Only
No Sampling
Hand Washing Stations Set Up
Hand Sanitizer Available
Vendors are Asked to Wear Gloves
Vendors are Asked to Bag all Loose Produce
Vendors are Asked to Create Displays which Allow for Minimal or No Handling of Goods by Customer
Monitoring Lines and Crowds: 6' between people
So it will be a very different market for awhile, most likely. However, applications have been coming in, and we anticipate a great selection of goods! So plan on coming to shop for all your favorites and some new treats.
Stay tuned for more details...
