BIG Thank You To "The Mingle's" Photographer Chris North

Special THANK YOU to Chris North!

Chris has been our photographer/videographer/interviewer at The Mingle for 2 years in a row and has already happily agreed to go for a 3rd year in 2020! Chris competes in GADPA, he trains with professional instructors, he is a fan of practice and works very hard to be a marksman in competition and self defense. THANK YOU Chris for volunteering your time during your precious weekends to capture special memories for us all! I wanted to share a few cool moments that Chris has frozen in time for us....check them out!

"I have only known Shelley and Brian of The Complete Combatant for a couple of years but in that time they have shown a unique ability to do the work. Be it at the Mixed Martial Arts gym they run, the range they train on, or where I have spent the most time with them, at The Mingle. HANDS UP!

Safety is always a priority. When everyone was "holstered" we asked them to "put your hands up" so we can see that there are no firearms out of the holster. Not only does our coaches, AIs and RSOs see that the line is safe and clear of firearms but the students see it as well. We are all responsible for our own safety AND helping others stay safe is always welcome. Verbal and visual cues are a must.

Claude feels that an instructor should DEMO each drill. The Mingle Day 2 was no exception to the rule. It is always a pleasure to watch this man instruct and shoot!! ROYALTY to say the least!

Relief from the sun

We not only have the pavilion with 2 beautiful bathrooms and showers, fans and lights but we also put up canopies down on the range to get a bit of relief from the weather. Super cool photo seeing 30 peeps listening to Brian and Claude drop knowledge bombs!

Lee Weems of First Person Safety

Outstanding min-seminar from Lee. We had 55 ladies in attendance and they enjoyed every minute of it! I think Lee enjoyed himself because we have shots of him smiling from ear to ear all day. Please attend Lee's next "STANDING YOUR GROUND" presentation at our place in Kennesaw on Fri., June 21st. Only $50 for 3 hours.

Image Based Decisional Drills

The Mingle 2019 was the debut of my Image Based Decisional Drills. This was a very exciting day for me because I not only spent 3 months working on this but I also explained the drills and managed the line from start to finish. Thank you Chris for capturing this important moment for me.

On the Line

This is a cool photo of one of the relays. We had 2 relays of shooters with 12 each. We had 1 main instructor, 2 AIs and 3 RSOs on the line at all times. We had a sold out day with a fantastic crew making sure everything ran smooth, was safe and we stayed on time. I love our students, I love our photographer and I love our team!

Nope, not sniffing glue!

My best friend Anna brings her fresh handmade goat milk soap each year for us to vote on which fragrances we like. I think her "Complete Combatant" soap with Black Amber and Lavender, "Russian Collusion" soap with Rose and Cherry Almond and "Rules of Engagement" soap with activated charcoal and Aqua Dio Gio were the top choices this year! ! She will take our vote into consideration when making soaps in the coming year. Her Grunt Goat Tactical Soaps are AWESOME!

I would like to leave you with another cool thing that Chris did....a time lapsed video of The Mingle Day 1! He took a 4.5 hour event and made a 60 second video! I know this has been done many times before but never for me! Thank you Chris and I look forward to seeing you on the range and back at The Mingle 2020!
