PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

It is hard to believe that we have been in school for 4 weeks already. The time has flown by and so much has already been accomplished. We’ve started our sports program, held drama club try-outs, survived our first parent meeting with Back to School Night, conducted parent HERO training, celebrated Mass together as a community, and are in the throws of STAR testing. Right on the heels of all of this is the upcoming Annual Giving Fund kick-off BINGO night, HERO week, and the Parish Festival. Before we know it, it will be time for costumes, stuffing, and tree trimming. I am looking forward to a great school year. I hope you have a blessed evening and don’t forget to stop by BINGO Thursday night in the Hall.

Sincerely,
Mary Flock, Principal

Meet the PFA & Committee Chairs
The Parent Faculty Association assists in the day-to-day operations of the school by overseeing most service positions. The PFA also supports various academic programs, provides funds for teacher appreciation and organizes community events such as Grandparents Day, Father Daughter Dance, Mother Son Event, Trunk or Treat and more. Fundraising events are held throughout the year to support the SBS operating budget. These include the Annual Giving Fund, the Gala and the Golf Classic. PFA meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month at 8 am in Duffy and are open to all parents. The first meeting is Sept. 14. Hope to see you there! If you have any questions, please reach out to [email protected]
STUDENT YEARBOOK CLUB
We are looking for 7th & 8th students who are enthusiastic about SBS (approximately 10 students). The students will work together to come up with the layout and design of the yearbook. They will help choose and create the content and take photos for the yearbook as well as work on deadlines to put the yearbook together. The Yearbook Club will meet approximately one to two times a month until April, then more frequently as the deadline approaches. The first meeting will take place in late September. Selection will be first come first serve if more sign up than needed. Questions please email Timarie Shrum at [email protected]. Thank you for your interest!
