For the third consecutive year, BioME is organizing Maine Bioscience Day at middle schools in the state. Volunteers from life science companies and institutions in Maine will talk to students about their careers and expose them to science hands on. Thank you to all volunteers and schools who are participating this year!

Save the Date: BioME Legislative Reception
January 22, 5-7PM
 

Save the Date! Our annual BioME Legislative Reception will take place on January 22 between 5-7PM at a new location: Maple Hill Farm Inn and Conference Center in Hallowell. This event is a unique opportunity to connect with the newly elected Maine State Legislators and educate them on matters important to bioscience community in Maine. Registration will open soon.

Serve on BioME Planning Subcommittees

As 2019 approaches, we are planning many exciting projects for next year. If you would like to be involved, we are currently looking for volunteers to serve on Subcommittees devoted to planning 2 bigger projects for 2019:

BioME Annual Conference 2019 
Our signature event is coming back this Spring! We are looking for energetic people willing to devote some time and effort to planning the Conference.

BioME Industry Report  
The goal is to plan and execute a comprehensive and current report on life sciences industry in Maine. 

If you'd like to be involved with planning any of these projects, please email us and we'll provide more information. First meetings will be held in December 2018.
Welcome new BioME Board Member: Casey Doucette, PhD 
 

We would like to officially welcome our newest Board Member, Ms. Casey Doucette. Casey Doucette is a Regulatory Affairs Manager at IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. Casey previously served as a Senior Account Executive at MacDougall Biomedical Communications in Wellesley, MA. She holds a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Maine Graduate School of Biomedical Science and Engineering.
