As a Black man in America, I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge the recent death of George Floyd and the impact of the protests across the United States. Between the renewed spotlight on police violence against Black people and the disproportionate effect that COVID-19 has on the Black community, it is hard to proceed with business as usual. In perspective, discussing anything else seems trivial. BIT NYC will maintain its schedule of technology related events, however it should come as no surprise if some event have social advocacy undertones.
