We are very excited to provide more details about our yearly Memorial Ceremony which will take place on June 19, 2019 at 5:00PM in the afternoon.
Our Commemoration Ceremony will begin in the Bardejov Holocaust Memorial and will include the lighting of the Memorial Candles, readings, and music.
The ceremony will continue in the Old Synagogue and will include the installation of a Mezuza on the doorpost of the synagogue entrance. It will also include speeches, musical performances, and the unveiling a Parochet on Aron Hakodesh.
A concert by Mr. Michal Smetanka, a multi-instrumentalist focused on the music of minorities, will conclude the event.
Following the ceremony, guests are invited to the vacated Beith Hamidrash to view the presentation of students’ artwork as well as architectural plans for the future restoration of Beith Hamidrash, which will serve the new function of a cultural and educational center.
