Letter from the Chair
Summer Greetings! I have traveled extensively over the last few months to meet with BKR International leaders and members around the world. It has been a pleasure, and these meetings also make me hopeful for the future of accounting. With this in mind, I want to congratulate my friend and colleague, Raymi Mejia (Santo Domingo) on his appointment as the new Americas Regional chair of BKR International.

BKR Member Story:
Jeff Calderon (Louisville)
Approximately four years ago, Deming, Malone, Livesay & Ostroff, PSC (Louisville) (DMLO) was retained by an Israeli client who is a Canadian citizen to prepare his US tax returns. I might have been hesitant to accept this client due to the potential foreign tax issues, but, with BKR resources and especially the relationships formed over the years, I was confident that I could handle this work.
