COVID-19 Update
Dear Bluff Lake Community,

Like many other local, state, and national organizations, we too have been monitoring the growing concerns surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak. We will continue looking to the leadership of the CDC, and will keep our policy updated based on their recommendations. The health and wellness of our community is our top priority.

With this in mind, we are keeping Bluff Lake open as a resource for our community to get through this difficult time. Visiting Bluff Lake is a great way to get outside and enjoy the spring weather, instead of spending time in crowded indoor spaces. Get some fresh air, take a hike or just enjoy the beauty of Colorado. P ractice social distancing and good hygiene to protect yourself and others.

In the interest of keeping our visitors, volunteers, staff, partners, and greater community safe we are cancelling/postponing all facilitated programs and events until April 7 with the option to extend the cancellation if needed. This includes the following programs:

  • March 21- Forest Bathing
  • March 28- Family Day: Animal Anatomy
  • March 29- Qigong and Mindfulness Walk
  • April 2- Fireside Chat: Moon Viewing
  • April 4- Bird Walk

We encourage our community to stay safe and protect yourselves and others against this virus. Please follow us on Facebook for further updates.

Thank you,

Rachel Crouch

Educational Materials
During this time, Bluff Lake staff is working diligently to provide teachers and families with meaningful activities they can do either from their own home or from Bluff Lake. Each day we will post an activity on our Facebook page and will also link to it on our website.

For example, this activity, I, Spy...ANIMAL HOMES! shows kids examples of animal homes at Bluff Lake, and sends them on a quest to find them. Many of these animal homes can be found in our own backyards!

Copies of many of these activities can be found onsite in our information kiosk, or they can be downloaded from our website using the link below.

Bluff Lake is there when you need us.
Come visit our site, connect with nature, and practice social distancing by using our trails.
