Dear Families,
I want to update you on our plan for the Fall after receiving more concrete information from Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS).
I am excited to tell you that BLPS will be open and fully operational in the Fall. However, this will look a little different than in years past...
Due to continued health and safety concerns and in an attempt to better stabilize groups, Bethany Lutheran Preschool will only be offering a 4-day program this Fall semester. We will be open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (with Mondays being reserved for teacher planning). This new schedule will take the place of our 2-day, 3-day, and 5-day options.
Tuition for our Toddler and Two-Year-Old programs will be $480 per month.
Tuition for our Three-Year-Old and Pre-Kindergarten programs will be $430 per month.
I understand that there is much to think about here. While we are not required to follow FCPS, the majority of our teachers (9 out of 12) have children in Fairfax County Public Schools, so we needed to take this into serious consideration. This decision to move to a 4-day program was not easy. It is my hope and prayer that we are able to return to normal soon. Until then, please let me know if you have any questions or need further clarification on this plan to reopen.
If, given the current state of things, you feel uncomfortable having your child return to school with us this Fall - please contact the preschool office and let me know.
