December 2, 2022

From the Desk of the Principal

Dear Bishop Family,

Thank you for supporting the BMCHS Annual Fund on #GivingTuesdsay. If you did not have a chance to donate due to the hustle and bustle of our busy schedules and active lives, please know that your support is always encouraged and welcomed.

December 8, 2022, is the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed

Virgin Mary, a Holy Day of Obligation. Mass will be celebrated at Bishop in the EDPAC

at 10:15 AM. You are invited to join us. Please follow our procedures and sign in and out

at the office. The dress code is Mass uniform.

Advent is the beginning of our new liturgical year and is the time of expecting, waiting, and preparing for the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus at Christmas and the return of Jesus at His second coming.

Please join me in an Advent prayer from the National Catholic Educational Association:

Dear Jesus, as we light the candle(s) on this Advent wreath, may the light of your presence bring joy to our hearts. Bless our family and our friends, and be with all those who are in need this holiday season. Amen.

Take care and create peace,

Ms. Jenalisa Zummo

Principal

Parent Service Hour Requirement

PARENT SERVICE HOUR REQUIREMENT (Handbook, p. 26)

As part of the Bishop family, parents are required to support the school’s mission and our students through volunteerism. Your presence at school activities is one way to show your support. School volunteer opportunities are NOT community service hours, but are volunteer hours through school-sponsored events. All BMCHS families are required to complete ten (10) hours of volunteer service per family each school year. All hours completed should be submitted through the FACTS Family Portal Upon successful submission of all hours, parents will receive an email confirmation. Parent service hours not completed for the school year will be fulfilled at a rate of $20/hour for the remaining balance due on April 30th.
