School Reopening Announcement!

The Board of Directors and Diocese of Reno approved the Miner Family Return reopening plan! More information can be found in the School Reopening Announcement email sent on July 28, 2020.

We look forward to welcoming our Miners back on campus!
From Father Tom Nelson:

To faculty, staff, parents and to the students of Manogue (my kids):

It is with a heavy heart that I announce that I will be leaving Manogue and I’ve been transferred to Saint Ann’s in Dayton and Saint Marys in Virginia City.

It is unusual for a Priest to takeover 2 parishes, but the Bishop has placed great confidence in me and after much prayer and conversation with colleagues and friends, I’ve accepted these assignments.

To my kids at Manogue, please don’t think that I’m abandoning you as this decision was not made lightly or quickly. In fact, my hesitancy in making my final decision was leaving you especially in a time that the world is in so much crisis. I love and care for every single one of you and want you to know how much God cares and loves you.

To the staff and faculty at Manogue, you are the best and it’s been a joy to work with you and to witness your commitment and love for the kids.

To the parents, you are wonderful. To see the vocation that God has given you to be parents in action has reminded me of the love, care and protection that God our Father has for us, his children.

May the Lord continue to bless all of you and remember, I’m only 60 miles away and that you are always in my mind, heart and in my prayers.

God Bless
Fr. Tom Nelson
New Counseling Protocol in Response to COVID-19

Our main goal is to maintain the health, safety, and well being of our employees, students and their families during this unpredictable time as we take appropriate precautionary and preventive measures to limit the potentially harmful risks associated with COVID-19.

We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation locally and abroad, and as of August 17, 2020 we are reopening the office per the phased state regulations and under the direction of the current CDC guidelines. As we reopen, there are a few new office protocols to maintain the safety and health of our students and employees while minimizing the risk of exposure to COVID-19.

Please take note of the changes:

  • As per the state and school mandate, all individuals will be required to wear a protective mask while in the counseling foyer and offices.

  • No waiting rooms are allowed at this time so the counseling door will remain locked until your appointment time to avoid crowds in the foyer, as well as allow counseling offices to keep doors open for additional air-flow.

  • All schedule change requests must be made via email with your counselor.

  • Parent and visitor requests for meetings will occur virtually. We highly encourage students, parents and employees to meet with their counselor virtually whenever possible.

  • Students, if you would like to schedule an in-office counseling session, please email your counselor to schedule an appointment.

For urgent matters that cannot wait (i.e. harm to self, harm to others, bullying/cyberbullying), please call your counselor so that she may allow entrance into the office:
Bethany Salter (A-G): 336-6029,
Jessica Koltz (H-Q): 336-6097,
Cathy McClintock (R-Z): 336-6027,
Lauren.McBride (College): 237-2878,
