New Pieces in The Miner Detail

The Miner Detail published a new sports feature and news column this week! Read them both here.
Reminder for Students Who Drive to Campus

Now that we have more students driving to school, please remember to arrive a little earlier than usual. It is taking students longer to park and come to class because our student parking lot is now being used at a higher capacity. Students have done a great job so far, but more time in the morning will lead to fewer problems getting to class. Thank you!

For Parents
Parent/Teacher Conferences

This is a friendly reminder that Thursday and Friday, March 11 and 12 are 1:00 pm releases for all students due to Parent/Teacher Conferences. Teachers will be requesting specific conferences with parents of students who are performing below an average level. They will also offer availability to others as their schedule allows. Please watch for emails from teachers for conference invites!

Additionally, teachers are going to make time for students who need extra assistance this week so they can have a strong start to the second quarter. Stay tuned for requests from teachers to meet with students right after school to help them on a better path as we approach the end of the quarter.

If you have any additional questions, please contact your child's teacher directly.

Parent Volunteers Needed for Lunch Duty

Greg in the cafeteria is in need of coverage for breaks!
Remember, the Diocese of Reno has mandatory requirements for volunteering at all Diocesan schools, including Bishop Manogue, and you cannot earn service hours until those requirements have been met. Contact Bonnie Hansen at  bonnie.hansen@bishopmanogue.org  or 775-336-6000 with questions.

Parents will have to enroll in Protecting God's Children through Virtus and stay up to date on monthly bulletins for two years. After two years, you have completed all the necessary bulletins. This transfers over from any of the Diocesan schools. If you are still receiving bulletins after two complete years, contact Elda Juarez at  eldaj@catholicreno.org  to be removed from the update list.

To submit news for the Wire, fill out this form. Submissions must be received by the Thursday morning prior to Sunday publication. Notable headlines submitted after Thursday morning may not appear in the Wire until a later publication.
