Student Class Schedules and Bookstore Information
Student schedules will be mailed beginning on Monday, July 12th. Any schedule change requests must be emailed to the student's counselor. Schedule change requests will be processed in the order in which they are received. Schedule change requests will be fulfilled starting on August 4th. Please note that schedule changes will not be completed for teacher preferences.
 
The school's online bookstore opens on July 19th. MBS requires parents to enter student information when ordering any digital items. Parents must use a personal email address. Please do not use your child's student email. Here is a video on the parent/child process: https://vimeo.com/264086266.

For Students
PARKING SPOT INFORMATION
Parking Pass sign-ups begin on July 20th. Seniors, Juniors, and Sophomores check your BMCHS email the week of July 19th for the link to sign up genius to reserve your meeting time by grade for the week of August 2nd. Click here for the form and information. Passes will begin being issued on August 2nd beginning with seniors.  No pass will be issued without all the required items.  

SENIORS ONLY – need to submit a sketch of their space painting plan to Mr. Lazarek at frank.lazarek@bishopmanogue.org for approval by August 3rd.  Senior painting days are August 5-6 from 8:00am-3:00pm.  If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Guzzo at 775-336-6000 or lisa.guzzo@bishopmanogue.org.
Summer Reading Assignments

AP students must complete their summer reading assignments before school begins:

  1. AP English Language(11th Grade) 
  2. AP English Literature (12th Grade)

There is no summer reading for any levels other than AP.

For Parents
Opportunity Scholarship Information for Qualifying New/Incoming Students

Dinosaurs & Roses is now open and accepting 2021-2022 school year scholarship applications for new students. Their window of applying is short and will close on July 16, 2021: https://www.dinosaursandroses.org/scholarship-program/

The AAA Scholarship Foundation is open for applications until July 12th and they still have many applications available. https://aaascholarships.org/parents/nevada/
Carpool

If you are interested in joining a carpool, please email the following information to Bonnie Hansen at Bonnie.Hansen@bishopmanogue.org:

  • Parent Name
  • Parent Phone Number
  • Parent Email
  • Area of Town

She will collect the information, create groups, and send the information out to you in mid-July. The groups will then contact one another to schedule carpool turns.
Freshman Parents

If you are the parent of a freshman, please update your Virtus account location. You can do this by going to www.virtusonline.org and selecting the Home tab. Then click on the "My Info" box. You can also contact Elda Juarez at EldaJ@catholicreno.org if you have any questions.

Junior Parents

For parents of juniors: the Bishop Dwyer chapter of the National Honor Society invites eligible new members to join every year, typically after Fall Break. Eligible students are in their junior year of school and have a weighted GPA at or above 3.55. These students will be notified directly by the adviser of the chapter. If your student receives an invitation in the mail to join the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) please be aware that this is not the same organization and your child will receive a separate invitation to the National Honor Society directly through Bishop Manogue. For any questions please contact the chapter adviser Sarah Haeberlin-Cope at sarah.haeberlin-cope@bishopmqnogue.org.

Sports Physicals Fundraiser

Bishop Manogue Sports Physicals Fundraiser is July 12 and 13, 2021.
Returning and incoming students can get their required sports physicals for the 2021-22 school year right here on campus.

The cost is $40 and proceeds support our Sports Medicine program.  

We are also looking for volunteer medical professionals--MDs, RNs, PAs, etc.--to help out with this fundraiser. Anyone interested and able can sign up HERE.

Student Service Opportunities

Students looking for service opportunities this summer can join this Google Classroom where opportunities will be posted. Here is a Google Form to help record service hours.
Diocese of Reno Service Opportunity

The Diocese of Reno is hosting a youth service opportunity on Saturday, July 10th. We will be working at Catholic Charities throughout the day and finishing the day with an Aces game. The cost is $25 which covers the ticket to the game and dinner at the game! Contact David Willems, Youth Minister at St. Albert’s, at youthministry@stalbertreno.org to sign up.
Parent Service Hour Opportunity - Jim Williams Miner Golf Classic

If you want to start chipping away at your service hours here is your chance to start! We're looking for 10-12 volunteers to help with the Jim Williams Miner Golf Classic, which will take place on October 1st. Please contact Jane Festa for specifics at (775)336-6061 or jane.festa@bishopmanogue.org
Parent Service Hour Opportunity - Campus Maintenance

The Maintenance Department at Bishop Manogue needs help with moving furniture, painting curbs and parking spots, and other jobs on campus.
