Dear Bishop Manogue Families,

Please find information (linked below) from the Diocese of Reno addressing the recent announcement from Governor Sisolak regarding state-wide school closures. Our team will continue to work in collaboration with the Diocese of Reno and will communicate with our school community as more information becomes available.

Virtual Learning Orientation
Virtual Learning Orientation: TOMORROW

Monday, March 16 will be a Virtual Learning Orientation Day for students to complete any make-up work and to familiarize themselves with virtual learning tools such as Google Hangouts. This will also be a day for teachers to finalize virtual lesson plans for Virtual Learning Week and to test the virtual attendance policy. Teachers will send Google Meeting invites to each student's Bishop Manogue email as well as post in Google Classroom. Virtual orientation will begin at 12:00pm and follow the schedule below.

For Students
Course Changes

Thank you for turning in your Course Request forms to select your classes for next year. The school bases its course sections and class size counts on the number of requests received for each course. Therefore, it is imperative that your course requests demonstrate a commitment to the classes you chose.

If you or your child are discussing a potential class change, please contact your counselor as soon as possible. Once sections are established by administration in spring, movement to other classes may be limited or impossible to avoid overcrowding in a particular class. Schedule change requests should be finalized prior to May 29 th .  We highly encourage any course add/drops to occur prior to summer break.

Counselors will not be available over summer, so any schedule change requests received after May 29 th , will not be reviewed until Tuesday, August 4 th . Schedule changes will be completed on a drop-in basis beginning on Tuesday, August 4 th .  Please understand that schedule changes will only be made for academic reasons, and not to accommodate teacher preferences.
For Parents

Attention Returning Parents and Students, 

Enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year is now open! In order to secure your spot for next year, you must complete the online enrollment. Attached to this email you will find detailed instructions to assist you with the enrollment process.
Early Bird Enrollment Fee is $700 and will be available until March 16th. Enrollment Fee after March 16th will increase to $725.
If you are waiting for your financial aid offer letter before enrolling, please know letters will be mailed out on a weekly basis as applications are reviewed. We are currently waiting for responses for donors as to their selection of scholarship recipients. We are hopeful that these letters will be mailed out by mid-March.
If you are looking to make tuition payments, you must create a FACTS account and set up a payment plan first. If you have already applied for financial aid through FACTS or have an existing FACTS tuition payment plan account, you will use the same account you have already created. When creating a tuition payment plan for the first time once completed, you will be given a 9-digit number. If you have an existing payment plan you must login to your account to retrieve this 9-digit number (example: 114-500-900).  This number will be needed to complete the online enrollment contract . Online Enrollment Instructions: HERE
  1. Create a Payment Plan in FACTS or retrieve existing FACTS Payment Plan agreement number, if applicable.
  2. Log in to your MyBackpack account. You can also find the link to MyBackpack in the top right hand corner of our website.
  3. Click on the Enrollment/Re-Enrollment link.
  4. Click on the Review Profile button and review your contact information. If any changes are needed, please correct them. When finished or if all information is accurate, please check the box next to My Profile is Up-to-Date. Then click Submit.
  5. Click on the View Contract icon. Please review your tuition agreement, any applicable financial aid award, and health information by filling in the appropriate fields. Click the Submit Contract button on the bottom of the agreement to send your completed agreement to the school.
  6. Make your Enrollment Payment by checking the appropriate box and corresponding blue button. You may use a credit or debit card, or withdraw funds from your checking or savings account by using e-check. There is a 2.85% service fee to process the enrollment fee with a credit card. 
  7. Click on the Additional Forms to view the Parent Service Hour policy and also to access the Parish Discount Application, if applicable.

St. Teresa Summer Camp Counselors Needed

St. Teresa Summer Camp in Carson City is hiring for seasonal summer camp counselors! They are looking for enthusiastic, positive camp counselors to lead, motivate, and help create a fun environment for our young "campers"! Full and part time hours available. If you're looking for something to do this summer before you go to college, this is it!! If you enjoy being outside and working with kids of all ages, this is the job for you!! Parent volunteers to help with Adoration
In the past, Bishop Manogue has offered time for prayer in our chapel with the Blessed Sacrament exposed in Adoration. In order for this tradition to continue in a structured setting, we need parent volunteers. Our Campus Ministry department desires your support so that students will have opportunities throughout the year to attend Adoration during the school day. Please fill out the Google form to give us more information so we can put together a schedule for regular Adoration. Your time and talent is greatly appreciated.

Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week
 Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week will take place the week of May 4th through May 8th this year. If you would like to help in planning and implementing this so we can celebrate and pamper our wonderful BMCHS teachers and staff, please email Katie Pruski at   and she will contact you directly.
Remember, the Diocese of Reno has mandatory requirements for volunteering at all Diocesan schools, including Bishop Manogue, and you cannot earn service hours until those requirements have been met. Contact Bonnie Hansen at  or 775-336-6000 with questions.

Parents will have to enroll in Protecting God's Children through Virtus and stay up to date on monthly bulletins for two years. After the two years, you have completed all the necessary bulletins. This transfers over from any of the Diocesan schools. If you are still receiving bulletins after two complete years, contact Elda Juarez at  to be removed from the update list.
