Drive-Through Pick-Up For School Belongings, Yearbooks and Student-Athlete Equipment Drop-Off
We’re holding drive-through pickup events in the front of the school on May 27 and 28, for students to get their yearbooks and to retrieve any belongings left at school. (Our custodians and administrators have been working hard the past two weeks to gather and safely package them!)

See the schedule below for your class pickup time:

May 27:
SENIORS, 9 am to 11 am
JUNIORS, 1 pm to 3 pm

May 28:
SOPHOMORES, 9 am to 11 am
FRESHMEN, 1 pm to 3 pm

At these same times, STUDENT-ATHLETES should also return any team uniforms or gear they were issued at the beginning of the season. To help us maintain safety protocols and make sure we record your return correctly, we ask that uniforms and gear (i.e. helmets) be washed and placed in a plastic bag, and that the bag be marked with:

  • Athlete’s name
  • Sport
  • Jersey number

When you arrive, just drive through the loading circle in the front of the school. We’ll be there--properly PPE’d--to hand your belongings and take your returns.

We look forward to seeing you!

  • Parking Lot Lane 1: A - D

Diocesan Updates
A Message from Bishop Calvo

Preparing for Resuming Public Masses

For several weeks now, I have been working with diocesan staff and parish priests in planning for the day when we can resume parish liturgies. We eagerly look forward to that day but also are exercising due diligence in making the necessary preparations. This is essential for safety. We want to make sure the worship environment is as safe as possible following federal, state and health guidelines and recommendations. There is much to consider for there are various aspects that include social distancing in seating, sufficient supplies for necessary cleaning of surface areas, to name a few. All pastors along with parish leaders have been asked to proceed in this planning so we will be ready when the day comes that we can resume gathering together.

The health and safety of all participants in our liturgies are paramount. This is nothing less than a moral obligation for us to follow. It is a matter not only of charity toward neighbor but also justice. Health and life are precious gifts from God which we are bound to safeguard. Parishes will be doing their part in following safety protocols; we will be asking parishioners to do their part in respecting these protocols. Please keep this in your mind and, more importantly, in your heart for this will be a circumstance for us to heed Jesus’ command that we love one another.

More information will be forthcoming from the diocese and your parishes.

Mt. Bike Riding Season is Here!

We look forward to the 2020 Mt. Bike season, tentatively planned to begin July 1. If you love bike riding, we would love to discuss the upcoming schedule with you! Our season runs from July-Oct, practicing 2-3 nights per week, mostly in South Reno, and there are 4 races located in Tahoe, Truckee, Reno, and Mammoth (racing is NOT MANDATORY).

WE NEED COACHES! No matter your riding level or whether you have a student rider, we would love your help! Training opportunities are still available, and I am happy to discuss the commitment needed to be part of our team.
